Universal Pictures has released a sneak peek of Shrek 5, featuring the beloved green ogre and his family and friends gathered around the magic mirror to watch humorous videos of Shrek.
It’s hard to believe that it has been 24 years since the original Shrek debuted in 2001, and 13 years since the last installment, Shrek Forever After, hit theaters in 2010.

Fans will need to be patient, as Shrek 5 is set to premiere around Christmas 2026. The trailer confirms the return of Shrek, voiced by Mike Myers, Princess Fiona, voiced by Cameron Diaz, and Donkey, voiced by Eddie Murphy.
The clip also features familiar faces, including Pinocchio and the Magic Mirror. Notably, we get our first look at Fiona and Shrek’s teenage daughter, who will be voiced by the talented Zendaya. While her name hasn’t been officially announced, speculation suggests she might be Felicia, one of the triplets introduced as babies in the previous film.
As for her brothers, Fergus and Farkle, they have yet to be revealed in this new installment. Additionally, there is still no word on whether Antonio Banderas will reprise his role as Puss in Boots.
